Who this service is for

Initial assessment

Check eligibility before choosing the route

Owning shares does not automatically establish eligibility. The applicant's holding, company records and actual activities need to be assessed together.

01

Shareholding and company records

The official E28A information lists at least IDR 10 billion in shares in the sponsoring company. Check the applicant's own holding separately from total company capital, together with the company's current legal records.

02

Role and intended activities

Investment, management and operational work can have different requirements. Describe what you will actually do in Indonesia so residence and any relevant manpower requirements can be assessed.

03

Current visa and location

Your current permit, expiry date, sponsor and whether you are inside or outside Indonesia affect the next steps. A new application, extension or other change should not be assumed to follow the same process.

Common questions

Questions about Investor KITAS

What is an Investor KITAS?

KITAS is a commonly used term for a limited stay permit. The investor route relates to a qualifying investment basis in Indonesia; it is different from a short business visit visa. Your shareholding, company and activities must be reviewed before selecting it.

Does every foreign shareholder qualify?

No. Holding shares alone does not establish eligibility. The E28A shareholding requirement, company records, role and intended activities need to be checked together.

Can you review my case before I travel?

You can start remotely by sharing a summary of your company, shareholding, current location and available documents. Any travel, attendance or location requirements are confirmed after the route is assessed.

How much does an Investor KITAS cost?

The final quote depends on the application type, duration, company readiness and additional work. Professional service fees and government charges are explained separately after the initial review.

How long does the application take?

A case-specific estimate can be discussed after the document review. Company readiness, additional requests and government processing affect the schedule, so a fixed approval date is not guaranteed.
